Q: How do I purchase a: grad package/yearbook/senior ad/senior dinner? A: All items (*except senior ads) may be purchased in person at the Finance Office. Cash or check is preferred but cards are accepted as well. The best time to purchase is before student lunch period. Select items may be purchased through the ASB Web Store. Senior ads are sold separately online at www.yearbookordercenter.com. See Senior Ads page for details.
Q: I'm not sure what/if I purchased. Where can I find out? A: Please call the front desk or our finance office to check what products you've purchased.
Senior ads
Q: Where do I buy a senior ad? A: Senior ads must be designed and purchased online at www.yearbookordercenter.com. Enter school code #8756 to get started. Call 877-362-7750 for tech help.
Q: I purchased a grad package during Business Days. Do I still need to pay for an ad? A: Yes, ads are no longer sold through the finance office and are not included in any yearbook packages.
Q: Can more than one person share an ad? A: Yes, ads can be split between more than one senior. However, yearbook will not organize or manage ad sharing. You must organize payment and ad design before submitting your ad online.
Q: I scheduled my senior portrait after the senior ad deadline but I want to use it in my ad...what do I do? A: Going back in time and scheduling your portrait session sooner would be nice, but until that becomes an option, there's nothing we can do.
Senior portraits
Q: My senior had their senior portrait taken through a friend/family member/photographer other than Keane. How do I submit them to be featured in the yearbook? A: While you may use any photos you'd like for your senior ad, Keane Studios is the only authorized photographer for senior portraits featured in the yearbook. For consistency of design, size and indexing information we cannot use your own photos in place of a senior portrait.
Q: Do I have to go to Keane's studio location to be photographed? A: Unless you reserve a time slot during one of our limited on-campus sessions, you will need to travel to Keane Studios to be photographed. Depending on the portrait package you select, Keane does offer portrait sessions shot on location around San Diego. Q: Do I have to pay to have a senior portrait taken by Keane? A: While Keane Studios does offer a variety of portrait packages including outfit changes and on-location shoots, their Yearbook-Only package is free and includes one shot only, specifically for the yearbook portrait.
Q: Can I walk in to a session on-campus or at Keane Studios? A: Portrait sessions must be booked in advance for both on-campus and Keane Studios shoots. Book your session today at http://seniors.keanestudios.com/
Q: What are the clothing requirements for senior portraits? A: Semi-formal attire is recommended. Gentleman should wear button down shirts and tie; ladies should wear blouses or dresses that cover the shoulders. From Keane Studios: "The best clothing is solid, medium to dark, no prints or patterns. No bare shoulders. Darker clothing against a darker background will let the face come forward. Bare shoulders will compete with the face and will add at least ten pounds visually. Full style guide shown here or listed on Senior Portraits page: http://seniors.keanestudios.com/#!/page/176598/style-guide
Q: Does the yearbook staff do any retouching on senior portraits? A: No, we don't alter portraits in any way. Keane does offer a retouching service for a fee, but we will print the portraits exactly as they are received from the studio.
yearbook purchases
Q: I purchased a yearbook last year but never came to pick it up. What do I do? A: While a significant amount of time has passed since last year's distribution, we do have some unclaimed books left. Books that have been paid for but not picked up are currently being held at the finance office.
Q: When / where do I purchase a yearbook? A: If you pre-ordered a yearbook during business days, you can pick it up during distribution days/hours in room 900 (starting in June). In person book purchases will be made after senior dinner (June 5) at the finance office while supplies last.
Q: I noticed an error after picking up my book. Can I get a refund? A: No refunds will be accepted after you've picked up your book. Yearbook students work hard all year long to produce a high quality product that is free of errors, but at the end of the day, the yearbook is made entirely by students. Even the pros make mistakes occasionally. We hope you can look past it and treasure your book for the collection of memories that it holds, errors and all. Thanks for your support!
